65Hz is a Vaasa-based association dedicated to electronic music culture. Focused on supporting and pushing electronic music forward on the west coast of Finland, 65Hz provides a platform for both local and international DJs and producers showcase their skills & sound.
65Hz Vaasa Tapes is the association’s podcast series, showcasing a wide range of artists from across the electronic music scenery.
Vesu’s, aka Vesa-Matti is an electronic musician from Vaasa, Finland. With over twenty years of experience as a DJ and producer, he has been tweaking knobs and creating music with computers, samplers, and synthesizers for over two decades now.
During these years he has explored a wide range of musical environments, his work has taken him from forests to clubs, basements, cafés, warehouses, and galleries. His music has been released on vinyl, cassette, and digital formats.
For this guest mix, Vesu’s delivers us a journey through dub techno and modern deep 4/4 grooves, featuring a selection of classic tracks spanning the 1990s to the 2020s. The set is mixed using two turntables, a mixer, and effects. All vinyl, except for one exclusive unreleased track. Enjoy! 📼

Based in Helsinki, aroni is a relatively new DJ, having only started mixing within the past year. Yet mixing has come almost as second nature to him. Already performing at a few underground parties, he has begun to slowly make a name for himself in the local scene there.
Influenced by Deep and Dark grooves discovered through visits to different techno clubs and events, he has developed a Hypnotic sound that, once it takes hold of you, is difficult to break away from. 🌀

For our fifth edition, we are thrilled to welcome Helsinki-based Ronja!
Originally hailing from Vaasa, Ronja has really been taking Helsinki by storm and carving out a place for herself into the local scene.
Ronja’s influences are drawn from across the globe. She got into electronic music during her time in Paris and later explored the scene in Montreal, where she also played her first gigs. Her style is hypnotic and minimalistic, and in her sets the focus lies on the details of each track.
This mix introduces a slightly different side of her sonic palette starting off with deep, organic and dreamy sounds.

Born in the Zagros Mountains and raised in Finland after his family fled the Iran–Iraq war, Ziad aka Zikiwiki has carved out a unique sound shaped by movement, identity, and underground culture. What began with dance floors and late-night parties evolved into music production in 2014, soon followed by a deep passion for DJing.
Ziki’s sets weave together Middle Eastern textures, hypnotic grooves, tribal rhythms, and psychedelic energy, creating journeys that are both driving and immersive. From renowned venues and festivals across Europe to opening new spaces for underground culture with the Kivipaino Posse crew, Zikiwiki, with his trusty Cactus never far from his side, continues to push boundaries on and off the dance floor.

Vaasa-based Henzo is a music producer and DJ with deep knowledge of electronic music in its many forms. His background includes years as a DJ on Finnish national radio, where he specialized in everything from underground sounds to mainstream EDM.
His sets are defined by relentless groove and high energy. This time for 65Hz, Henzo takes you on a journey through some of his deeper techno selections.

Hailing from Slovenia, LooPi has been passionate about electronic music since childhood. In 2017, he attended his first techno event, an experience that made him fall deep in love with underground music and its culture.
In 2018, he founded Rayzeh, a now well-known record label and promotion platform focused on minimal house music. Over time, he discovered his passion for DJing, and in 2023 he bought his first equipment and started his journey behind the decks.
Since then, LooPi has been consistently delivering mixes for various platforms around the world, sharing his own vision and energy through music. His style has no real limitations, as long as the music feels artistic, immersive, and true to the underground spirit.
